Anonymous asked: hi! I don't know if you're still answering questions but I'm looking to makeover my hair products... could you tell me what you use for the following? :D a. dry shampoo b. hair spray c. shampoo+cond d. things to make my hair shiny!
I am! I’m still around haha.
Dry Shampoo: I use Dirty Secret by Rockaholic :3 it’s amazing and it smells pretty and the packaging is pretty, so what more do you want? BUT THERE IS MORE. It’s also a really good volumiser if you want enormous hair or you’re doing a big up do thang and you don’t want to tease it.

b. Hair spray! Definitely Fat Hair’s amplifying hair spray. Your hair will not move. Ever again. No but really it’s legit the strongest hairspray I have ever used and my hair doesn’t even feel like a thousand enraged hawks nested in it after I brush it out. (Which is always a plus.)

c. Shampoo and Conditioner: I’m still using the purple ones that I used when I was blonde, just because they make my hair so damn soft and as far as I can tell, they’re pretty good at keeping the red under control too. They’re a salon brand so you might have to pay a little more for them, but if you put your hair through half as much as I do, the investment is worth not going bald. It’s called Lab 6 Professional blonde revitalising shampoo and conditioner :3 I can’t find a picture online but I buy the big 1L ones in the grey and purple bottles.
d. Shiny! Shiny is my favourite. There are lots of things you can do for shine. If you want to keep your hair healthy = make it naturally shinier, use a leave in conditioner and/or do a treatment every fortnight. I use Shwarzkopf Extra Care Hair Repair Shine Mask treatment, which is just a 5 minute in shower one. It’s in a pink tub and smells like nom = winning. I also use Mythic Oil because I have frizzball hair, which repairs heat damage and tames my lion mane (also it smells like a campfire. in a good way). For a leave in conditioner I use Static Free Smooth Operator, which smells like pineapple and seals split ends. That’s probably the product that has the most immediate effect, if you use a little before you blow dry your hair you’ll notice immediately how soft and just generally healthier your hair looks/feels. BUT you can also fake shiny healthy hair with stuff like shine spritz and glosses. I use Static Free Broadcast Shine Spritz most of the time, you have to be careful not to use too much though, because it will make your hair oily. I’d also recommend Rockaholic’s Rock Out Shine Blaster. It’s a pretty great all-rounder for generally sexy lookin’ hair. Rub it in before you blow dry (avoiding the roots) and it’ll give you amazing shine, seal split ends, tame frizz and your hair will stay better for longer (i.e. resist humidity and whatever). Also it looks like a magic potion which is cool.

Hope that helped! x
